1.4.0

October 22, 2026

  • English interface: the app follows your Mac’s language, and Ask understands English questions.
  • Admin helper (optional): allow it once and AppRemover stops asking for your password every time. Confirmation dialogs stay.
  • Automatic updates: AppRemover tells you about new versions and installs them. It contacts our site only to check for updates and sends no personal data.

1.3.1

October 22, 2026

  • Charts: memory usage history (24 h / 7 d), per-app network in/out, hourly and daily traffic, permission counts, free-disk trend in the weekly report.
  • Permission check fix: on macOS versions that hide the permission list from apps (such as macOS 27), AppRemover says so and shows apps that can request camera or microphone access instead.

1.3.0

October 22, 2026

  • Permission audit: apps holding sensitive permissions such as camera, microphone and screen recording, and unused apps that still hold them.
  • Network monitor: per-app traffic (no addresses or content stored), alerts for steady background traffic from unused apps and spikes.
  • Developer cache cleanup: Gradle, Maven, npm, pnpm, Yarn, CocoaPods, Swift PM, stale node_modules.
  • Weekly Mac health report, top bar layout fix.

1.2.0

October 22, 2026

  • Cleanup recommendations (off by default): unused apps, long-running background processes, high load while you are away, recurring memory pressure.
  • Ask: questions in plain words such as “free up 20 GB”. Numbers and recommendations are calculated by the app.
  • Cache cleanup, explanations for “needs review” items, live alerts for new launch items.

1.1.0

October 21, 2026

  • First public release: uninstall apps with their leftovers, find leftovers of deleted apps, memory overview, launch item and signature check, ClamAV scan.
  • Distributed as a Developer ID signed, Apple-notarized DMG and via Homebrew (brew install --cask manoit-DanielJung/tap/appremover).
